THE MUSEUM OF FAILURE

FAILURE IS ONLY THE OPPORTUNITY TO BEGIN AGAIN, ONLY THIS TIME MORE WISELY

The Museum of Failure is a one of a kind international collection of more than 100 innovation failures. For every mega-success like the iPhone, VCR, and Ford Mustang, there’s a couple of Apple Betamaxes and Edsels that crashed and burned before them — and this pop-up experiential exhibition celebrates these marketing missteps in all their glory. Visitors of the Museum of Failure gain insightful and entertaining glimpses into the risky business of innovation. These Instagram-friendly artifacts spanning from the 17th century right up to the present, including Colgate Lasagna, Casio’s tiny color TV, New Coke, and plenty more. This entertaining collection of product blunders, is curated by Swedish-based innovation researcher Dr. Samuel West, and hopes to convey that the acceptance of failure is necessary in order for innovation and progress to truly succeed.
