J. Dave RivaVice President & Director of Licensing
Dave Riva lends over 30 years of experience to SEE as the Vice President and Director of Licensing. Responsible for the procurement, maintenance and implementation of all of the SEE family of companies’ licenses, Riva serves as the first line of communication for the company’s major partnerships.
For the past 10 years, Riva has worked extensively with, SEE Touring Attractions, Inc., as a consultant, creative director, designer and producer of some of the most impressive themed traveling exhibitions ever conceived. Most notably, Riva was the producer/creative director for two immense “Star Trek” touring exhibitions under license from Paramount Studios – one beginning in London’s Hyde Park and the other at the “Dome” in Long Beach, California.
An entertainment industry veteran for more than three decades, Riva has worked with Hollywood’s biggest icons, writing, directing and producing several films for HBO, Showtime, MGM, and Republic Pictures including the documentary, “Marlene Dietrich: Her Own Song,” the most successful original documentary in the history of the Turner Classic Movies channel that examined his famous Grandmother’s World War II efforts for the allied forces.
Prior to relocating to Los Angeles, Riva was a theatrical agent and began his career representing and packaging Broadway plays and musicals at ICM, later to represent film at APA and then became the head of the theatrical department for the Lantz Office, one of the most prestigious boutique agencies in New York, representing the Tennessee Williams Estate, Bette Davis, Milos Forman and many others.
Riva currently resides in Los Angeles.
